Entre Terre et Ciel

Installée dans un jardin à Bruxelles, l’œuvre est une rencontre sacrée, silencieuse, Entre Terre et Ciel.

Façonnée sur une loupe de hêtre, la surface naturelle du bois révèle ses veines et sa profondeur, sublimée par la dorure à la feuille de palladium. Cette « dorure » transforme la matière organique en une surface lumineuse et vibrante, qui capte et restitue la lumière. Tel un miroir tendu, elle crée un pont entre les mondes.

Cette sculpture ne s’impose pas au paysage : elle en devient une évidence. Elle dialogue avec le lieu, avec la lumière et le vent, et devient un témoignage de l’attention portée à ce qui nous dépasse. Gratitude envers le vivant, envers les cycles de transformation et de régénération. Gratitude silencieuse envers une âme.

L’œuvre rejoint une collection aux côtés de celles de David Nash, Tadashi Kawamata, Claire Santa Coloma, Christian Lapie, Andy Goldsworthy, etc.

Installed in a garden in Brussels, the work is a sacred and silent encounter, Entre Terre et Ciel.

Shaped from a beech burl, the natural surface of the wood reveals its veins and depth, enhanced by palladium leaf gilding. This “gilding” transforms the organic material into a luminous and vibrant surface that captures and reflects the light. Like an outstretched mirror, it creates a bridge between worlds.

This sculpture does not impose itself on the landscape; it becomes an obvious presence within it. It enters into dialogue with the place, with the light and the wind, and stands as a testament to the attention given to that which surpasses us. Gratitude toward the living world, toward the cycles of transformation and regeneration. A silent gratitude toward a soul.

The work joins a collection alongside those of David Nash, Tadashi Kawamata, Claire Santa Coloma, Christian Lapie, Andy Goldsworthy, among others.
